When looking for reputable tradespeople there are a number of checks that homeowners can make to ensure they are receiving quality work by recognised companies. Unfortunately, some organisations purport to be linked to schemes and accreditation’s when they are not.
CIGA have seen an increase in businesses advertising themselves as members and using the CIGA Trademarked logo without permission. This will often be displayed on websites, vans and marketing material and misleads homeowners to believe they are CIGA members.
Action to be taken
If you would like to report the unauthorised use of our logo or reference to us, please email details e.g. websites, brochures, invoices, images etc to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can investigate further. We will endeavour to take appropriate legal action and prosecute where necessary. Please be assured that your personal details will stay confidential throughout this process.
Firms using CIGA’s Trademarked logo without authority
Below is a list of firms that have falsely claimed affiliation with CIGA and are now being followed up through the appropriate channels. We are not implying that these firms are fraudulent or questioning their standard of workmanship, we are simply stating that they are using the CIGA logo or reference to membership without authorisation to do so and have been notified accordingly:
Please note – some company names are similar to genuine members – The website links show companies that are not members. For a full list of members see click here.
